How it works
Tell us where you stand
Send us your website, your last ten quotes and the jobs you wish you had more of. We read them before we talk.
Get a positioning read
The 7-day free trial covers an audit of your site, SEO and competitor benchmarking, which shows where your offer blurs into everyone else's.
Decide together
You choose what to change and in what order. Call, text or email; you'll talk to a senior strategist.
BoilerCompany.ca helps Canadian boiler companies decide what they stand for, package it into a small menu of named services, and show honest prices before the first phone call. Then we market that position. We are a marketing and consulting service, not a heating contractor: we never install, repair or service a boiler. Our job is to make sure the right customers pick you, and pick you for the right reasons.
Why boiler companies end up competing on price
Most boiler companies describe themselves the same way. "Boilers, furnaces, water heaters, heat pumps, residential and commercial, serving the whole region." When every website says that, the customer has only one way left to compare you: the number at the bottom of the quote.
That is a positioning problem, not a sales problem. Three things usually cause it:
- No niche. You will take any job, so nobody remembers you for a particular one.
- No menu. Every job is a custom quote, so the customer cannot see the difference between your offer and the next one.
- No price signal. Your site says "call for a quote", which tells the customer nothing and invites the cheapest bid to set the anchor.
Fix those three and the conversation moves from "how much" to "which package". You can see how we tackle each one on the services page.
What a strong boiler position looks like
A strong position fits in one sentence a homeowner could repeat to a neighbour. For example: "They only do high-efficiency boiler replacements in older homes with radiators, and they show their package prices online." That sentence carries a niche, a proof point and a reason to trust.
Strong positions in this trade usually come from one of four directions:
- A system type, such as combi boilers, hydronic radiant floors, or steam and hot-water radiator systems in older houses.
- A customer type, such as strata and condo buildings, landlords with small rental portfolios, or custom home builders.
- A service model, such as care plans with priority booking and set annual visits, or a fixed-price replacement package.
- A geography, a tight service area you can reach quickly in January.
You do not need all four. One or two, stated plainly and backed by what you actually do, is enough. Our guide on choosing a boiler niche walks through the numbers behind that choice.
Menus beat custom quotes
A service menu is a short list of named packages with clear inclusions and a starting price. Think three replacement tiers and two care plans, not forty line items. Menus make your company easier to buy from, easier to train staff on, and much easier to market, because each package can have its own page, its own ad and its own story.
They also protect margin. When a customer compares "Standard replacement" with "Comfort replacement", they are choosing between your options rather than between you and a competitor. The premium service menus page explains how we build them.
Pricing you can publish without regret
Showing prices online is the step most owners resist, and the one that changes enquiry quality fastest. The rule is simple: a "from" price has to be a price a real customer can actually pay, and any mandatory fee has to be in it. Canada's Competition Bureau treats drip pricing as a deceptive practice, with government-imposed charges such as sales tax the stated exception.
Here is a quick test you can run on your own site tonight. Take the lowest price you advertise anywhere. Ask how many of last year's jobs were actually sold at or near it. If the answer is "almost none", the number is doing you harm. See honest pricing presentation for how we set and word starting prices.
Proof from boiler businesses we have built
Our founder has built 150+ live HVAC websites, many of them for boiler specialists. Two show why a narrow position works:
- GasBoilers.ca is a gas-boiler division built for CANRO Heat. It serves 26+ BC communities and has earned 5.0★ from 76+ Google reviews.
- CombiBoiler.ca sells one product category and nothing else. That single focus produced 300% ROI, 300+ monthly leads and 500+ page-1 rankings for combi-boiler keywords.
Neither tried to be everything to everyone. More detail, and what transfers to your company, is on the results page.

Frequently asked questions
What is BoilerCompany.ca?
BoilerCompany.ca is a Canadian marketing and business consulting service that helps boiler companies position themselves, design service menus and present prices. Think of it as the boiler-pricing desk of the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group: Vancouver-based, Canadian, and run by Ali Sedighi, MBA.
Do you install or service boilers?
No. We are not a heating contractor and never install, repair or maintain equipment. We work on the business side: who you sell to, what you sell, how you price it and how you market it.
Is positioning only for large companies?
It matters more for small ones. A three-truck shop cannot outspend a regional chain, but it can be the clear specialist for one type of boiler job in a defined area, and that is easier to market and easier to price.
Will publishing prices scare customers away?
It scares away the wrong ones, which is usually the point. Honest starting prices with clear inclusions let bargain hunters leave early and give serious buyers the confidence to call. The prices must be real and attainable, or you create a different problem under the Competition Act.
How much does it cost?
Marketing plans from $2,998/month and websites from $3,500, in Canadian dollars plus GST/HST based on your province (GST and QST in Quebec). You can test us first: seven days free, no card on file, and you are never locked in.
How quickly will we see a difference?
A clearer menu and price page can change the quality of enquiries within weeks because it filters who calls. Search visibility for a new niche takes months. We set expectations for both before you commit.
